Following HyperDrive’s acquisition by Certas Energy, significant investment has come into the business to support growth and innovation. The first phase of investment came in 2019, when we opened a state-of-the-art tank farm at our premises in Redditch. The farm has improved our storage efficiency and massively cut down on our storage footprint.
The tanks help us eliminate the risk of contamination in our blends, which can impact oil performance. This ensures we can deliver higher-quality products to our customers at the same competitive prices. Greater capacity also means more cost-efficient purchasing of base materials, so now we can blend more products, and greater volumes of them.
Since the acquisition, we’ve also been able to install additional filling lines. These have enabled us to boost production of small pack items, which are blended and packed on site in Redditch to be delivered directly to customers.
What does the future have in store for HyperDrive?
We’ve got a lot of plans in store, all working towards our aim to become a one-stop-shop facility for lubricant manufacturing. This is a very exciting time for HyperDrive.
Certas Energy has grown into the UK’s largest Lubricants & AdBlue® distributor primarily through acquisition, and is now looking for new Lubricant Distributors both in the UK and abroad to market and promote the Hyperdrive brand.
