There’s been no rest for Scuderia Maranga Racing and Trystan Finocchiaro in the long “summer break”. With the Transmec backed rider completing two lots of vital testing before the season is back under way in Portugal.
Here’s what Trystan had to say at the end of 3 days testing in Italy:
“It’s been great to continue working during the summer break. We started with 3 days testing at Magny Cours straight after the race in Misano. We left Misano with a lot of positives and have only consolidated these since.
The test in Magny Cours was extremely productive we tried a lot of things and improved many areas. It was a great test for me as I set a my personal best lap time by quite a margin, and without a slipstream. So I think we have a lot of fun when we race here at the end of the year.
This week at Franciacorta has also been really positive. I’ve come away with a good time but more importantly a good feeling. The conditions were extremely hot and it’s a very demanding circuit so to have been constantly improving the lap time and setting a consistent pace I think is a very good sign.
Now we have to continue the hard work at the next round in Portugal and get as close to the other manufactures as we can and hopefully bring home a good result.”
