“I’ve never been more ready for a season” Finocchiaro reflects on pre-season testing
Scuderia Maranga rider Trystan Finocchiaro commenced in a very positive and revealing 3 days of testing at the Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain to prepare for the first race of the World Supersport 300 series at the circuit in mid-April.
Looking back at the test, the Transmec Group backed rider stated that “everything is falling in place perfectly”. The youngster explained that “In terms of fitness, mental attitude, riding style, planning, the structure behind me, and as we have found this weekend machinery, I have never been more ready for a season”.
The 3 day test at Aragon was the first time the Scuderia Maranga Racing team was to test their 2018 package on track, and Finocchiaro was much in favour of the teams work. “Compared to what I had tested in Germany last year, the bike has made a lot of crucial improvements” stated the Anglo Italian.
Supported by HyperDrive lubricants, Finocchiaro put the new machinery through its paces with 3 days of varying conditions, with rain and heavy winds thrown into the second half of the test.
However, it wasn’t enough to stop a positive test for the 19-year-old as he collected valuable data and worked endlessly with the team to keep improving.
Trystan states that “it was an extremely positive test as we constantly worked to continue improving both myself and the bike, there is still more to come from both but we know exactly in which direction it will come form, so I can definitely say we are more than ready for the first round at Aragon”.
